The controller better not have large hands because those buttons are almost too small and too close together. I can see finger fumble mistakes being made during a live feed.

Firmware Ver. 5.00 Temporarily Suspended After investigation, Sony has confirmed an issue with ILME-FX6 System Software Ver. 5.00, which was released on May 28, 2024 (JST). After updating to Ver. 5.00 ,if you turn ON the power with the INPUT2 (audio input 2) switch set to LINE, the audio from CH2 may become unintended level. Due to this issue, we have suspended the download of ILME-FX6 System Software Ver. 5.00. We apologise for the inconvenience and will rectify the situation by releasing a corrected version as soon as possible.

Preset position recall: When you control the speed, acceleration ramp and so on, do you set that for each preset or do the speed settings apply to all movement between presets then? For instance: You want the camera to move from preset 1 to preset 2 pretty quickly. But you want the camera to move slowly from preset 5 to preset 6. Without having to change settings as you go. Is that doable?

Could you please make a tutorial on how to use Cine EI? I think I understand the basic idea of what is for, but I just bought an FX6 and have no clue how to set it and use it. It will be truly appreciated. Thanks.

Yes the Sony FX6 Version 5.0 was released and then SUSPENDED 3 days later!

Receiver battery is rated at 4hrs. When plugged in to XLR with phantom power? Will it receive as long as it detects phantom power?

I hope the fx9 , 6k scan in camera down same to 4k recording ,is never lost . This is really a Goldilocks setting for corporate / doc work productions IMHO. Many editors have told me they can see the difference between that and the fx6 4K. Actual 6k recording is not really needed for most corp / doc I think ,or the larger file sizes .

Can you address the Center Scan mode, what it does exactly and how it works on the Sony PXW-FS7 MK2? I own the FS7 MK 2 and just purchased a brand new Sony 28-135mm lens. I also own the FS5 and use the clear zoom. I film a lot of dance and stage productions and I really need the reach (zoom). When I put this brand new 28-135 lens on my FS7 MK2 I was really disappointed in what I saw as far as my zoom or reach. After looking into it a little bit further I found out that the FS7 MK2 does not have the 'clear image zoom' but this 'center scan' mode. I can see a little bit of difference with the 'center scan mode' selected but was wondering if there is something else that I am missing here that I should select in the menu to give me a better zoom? I have been all over the internet as well as all of the SONY FS 7 MK 2 and FS 7 training videos from many different sources and cannot find any help anywhere with this matter.

It's actually funny how unremarkable the venice looks when used like a normal cam. It looks like any other blackmagic and sony camera. However I can't say the same when the image is pushed to its limits
